RUGBY FOOTBALL.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL. The Queenstown and Arrow juniors met on the local ground on Saturday afternoon and the former suffered defeat by II points (a penalty goal and 2 tries, one of which was converted) to 3 points (one try). The local side obtained their score shortly after the game started, Nelson picking up and diving over the line. Murphy kicked the penalty for Arrow and also scored, Shaw converting. Arrow did most of the attacking in the first spell. A. Buckham went off injured ar the end of the spell and was not replaced. Queenstown pressed very hard at times in the second spell, but failed to penetrate the defence. Price Lewis narrowly missed with a penalty kick. • Fletcher added 3 points to Arrow’s total by a splendid try. Mr D .F. Macdonald was the referee. The junior points are now equal and the final match will be played on Saturday week. FINAL OF SCHOOLS’ 7-A-SIDE TOURNEY. —Semi-Final. — Arthurs Point G, Arrow' Public nil, T. Barnett and T.
