Stronaeh, Morris and Co., Ltd., report for week ending Thursday, 28th October, 1926. Fat Cattle—There was a medium entry, 229 being forward. As a number of the butchers had glood supplies on hand from the previous week, pridels were easier at the shirt Oif the sale hy about 15s to £1 per head, and towards the end, they dropped considerably owing to lack of ■ceml>etiitlon. Prime bullocks £ls to £lB 2s 6d, medium £l2 10s to £l4 10s, Light £ lOto £l2 ss; prime cows and heifers £9 10s to £l2; medium £7 lOsto £8 15s; inferior £5 to £7. Fat Sheep—There was a medium yarding, 1704 being forward, the quality on the whole being glood. Competition was keen, and prices were fully up to last .sale’s rates. Prime wethers 395. to 45s 3d; medium 34s to 375; light 30s to 335. Extra prime ewes to 39s 3d; other sorts to 21m extra prime shorn wethers to 33s ; good! 28s to 305., light 23s to 265. Eat Lambs.—There was a good entry, 61 being penned. Prices were easier by about 2s per head on last sale’s rates: Best lambs 38s to. 43s 6d, good 33s to 375, light from 25s upwards. Pigs.—There was a small entry of fat pigs, and prices for these were, firmer by about 5s to 10s per head on last sale’s rates. Stores met- with keen demand, an <1 prices were firmer. Oats—The market remains quiet, and ‘A’ grade Gartons mlay be nominally quoted at up to 3s 4d on trucks, country sidings, and B’s to 3s 2d. Wheat. —Them is no milling wheat offering, and fowl wheat meets with fair demand at up to 7s ex store. Burned! n. Chaff.—Good bright quality is still the only quality that can be readily marketed, and this may be quoted at up. to £6 ex truck, Dunedin Inferior and discoloured lines, however, are difficult to quit. Potatoes— There* is a fair demand for prime freshly-poked linos, Whajcih are bringing from £5 to £5 5s ox store, Dunedin. Eabbitskins.—Wo held our usual fort nightly rabbitiskin sale on Tuesday, and offered a fair sized catalogue to a good attendance of buyers. Competition was not as keen as at the last sale, and! prices were, easier, lat Winter bucks to HOd; 2nd. winter bucks to 87|d; Ist winter does to 89|d; 2nd winter does to 79|id; spotted winter bucks and ’does ito 68] d, outgoing to 53’d 1 , autumns to 50] d, milky does to 39fd, summers to 32d; small to 16|d, springs to 49.1 d; Ist broken to black to 37d, horsehair to 21yd.
