RAILWAY 1 DEPARTMENT’S ENTER PRISE. '
Mr A. McNeil, Business Agent, Railways., Wellington, reoanitly visited Queenstown In connection with the projected round trip tours of the Southern Lakes during the coming summer. During the currency of the Exhibition these tours wejre very popular and no less than 1800 people availed themselves of the facilities offered by the Railway Department The| trips comprise travel by rail, steamer and motor and as a result of laisitj season’s success the Department has decided to again introduce the excursions will oh will commence on Ist' November and continue till BOtii April. Attractive folders are being pub-i fished by the Railway and about 20,000 of these will bp distributed throughout the Dominion. Queenstown fully appreciates what the Department did last year and commends. it -for the renewed enterprise.
