GLASSES WHEN BATHING

Many people, who wear eyeglasses find their pleasure and comfort while bathing considerably marred by having to take them off, says an exchange. There are some, indeed, whose selfconfidence gods when they find themselves in the water with only a blurred vision of the things around them. It [s, naturally, impossible to wear pinc-nez, as the water coming behind the lenses would soon sweep them off. but rimmed spectacles which have side pieces going round the ears are convenient to wear, and a bathing cap covering the ears is an additional safeguard. Tho lenses may he treated with one or other of the preparations on the market which keep glass clear when rain or water is splashed on it. A convenient one is put up in a little cylindrical case like lip salvo. The preparation should be rubbed on both sides of the lenses and then polished with a handkerchief. This should lie done each time before entering tho water.
