Messrs E. J. lies, engineer to the Kawarau G.M. Go. paid a visit to Queenstown at the week-end, Mr H. D. Morgan is revisiting Glemoreby where he was formerly headmaster of the Gleuorchy school. '■Sergeant W. Dunlop, Dunedin, ’is looking up old friends in Queenstown, being on his annual leave. Mr Service, Southland Education Board, inspector, is at present in the district. Yesterday he examined $t the local Convent, and to-day the pupils of the public school are being put through their annual test. Lord Jellicoe will leave the Dor minion on. November 26. Our new Governer-(|eneral is expected to arrive in N.Z. in the middle of Decernf ber. Messrs J. F. Robieson and Hocking, Dunedin, were visitors to Queenstown at the week-end. The Rev. J. H. Roberston, minister of St. Andrew’s Church, is visiting Palmerston North in connection with the General Assembly. Mr Wm. Bannerman, who retired' some 18 months agO' from the position of chief accountant in the Dunedin branch of the Bank of N.Z,, is on a visit to Queenstown. He is accompanied by Mrs Bannerman.
