TENNIS.

On Saturday, the 2'Jnd instant, a tennis match was- played on the Queenstown court between teams representing the Anowtown and Queenstown Clubs. The weather, which was finu in the morning, turned very cold in the afternoon, thus considerably detracting from the pleasure of playing. The Queenstown team was weakened by the unavoidable absence of several of their usual players. This partly aeconnts for Arrowtown's very decisive victory. Nevertheless some very good games, particularly in the first two Combined Doubles, were witnessed. The ladies of the Queeustown Club very kindly dispensed refreshments in both the morning and the afternoon. Appended are the scores:— Queenstown. Arrowtown. Gentlemen's Singles.
