With the incoming of the New Year the pdice have notified retailers of soft drinks that the sale of a'rated water for cousuinp tion ou the premises in admixture with alcoholic liquor is contrary to the new law, and the bars, previously existing, are accordingly no luiger available for liquid refreshment. Visitors to Invercargill yesterday were thus made to realise the full force of "No License, No Liquor" and expressions of resentment were frequently heard.—- S. Times.'
