Wakatipu District Hospital.

The monthly meeting was held on the ,14th inst Present: Mr J. CWklmrn (Chairman), and Messrs W. B. Hiwarni, S. B. Petterason, J. Knowles, U. C Ware, and J. W. Fraser. Leo Lee, boo. secretary, Mrs Mussen's Dramatic Co., wrote enclosing cheque for £8 17s 6d, being the net receipts of an entertainments held on the 9tb inst., in aid of the Wakatipu District Hospital. ■ It was resolved, on the motion of Messrs Ware and Fraser—That the society be thanked for its handsome donation to the hospital and that Mrs Mussen, the organiser, be presented with a subscribers ticket for the hospital The Visiting Committee made no report, bat the chairman stated that he bad visited the hospital during the month and found everything satisfactory. Mrs Warren and Hawson were appointed members of the Visiting Committee.

Mr Ware reported that the water supply for fire prevention would be started in a few days. A tender of Mr R. Geiaow for making and erecting new tanks at the hospital was accepted. The surgeons report showed that 8 remaining in the hospital on the Ist October, 5 were admitted during October, and 4 remaining in the hospital on Ist November,

Accounts as follows were passed for payment :—Salaries, £4O 3i 4d : rations, £l3 18s sd; stores and furniture, £2 17s sd; medicines £4 6s 3d ; fuel and light, £4 3s lid; incidenral, £4 15s 4d ; total, £7O 4s Bd. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
