An amusing case of debt-collecting comes from tlie suburb of Margarethen, in V iunmi. One feundaj morning an elegant young man was piomenading along a much-frequented and fashionable street, when suddenly his .shoemaker requested him either to pay for the boots he was wearing or to give them back to him. The young man replied that he had not enough money with him. Thereupon the shoemaker and his two apprentices seized the wretched youth and forcibly deprived him of liis boots. The. operation attracted an immense crowd, which viewed with unrestrained amusement the plight of the dandy, with his silk hat, irreproachable black coat, but minus shoes on his feet.
