THE GREAT SEAL OF METHODISM.

The seals of office of the British Methodist Conference consist of John Wesley's keys—a plain, small, and ordinary hunch the great seal of Methodism, and Wesley's Bible, which 16 a thing of price. The Great Seal is affixed to parchments on great occasions. Thus, when the British Conference gave the Australian Conference Home Rule, this seal was affixed to the deed. Jt shows a portrait of Mr Wesley with the inscription above, " The world is my parish," and below, " What has God wrought.'' The Bible is small and well suited for the pocket or the hand. Wesley used it for hi» numerous field preachings. From out of this little Bible he addressed perhaps more British folk than any other man has ever done. It is dated 1553, and printed by Field, being for this reason called a Field Bible. It contains three misprints, which are duly noted by the great preacher on one of the fly-leaves. The print is very small.
