WEEKLY MARKET REPORTMessrs Moritzon and Hopkin, DunediD, report (wholesale) as follows for the week ending Tuesday last: all quotations being subject to market fluctuations : We would ask farmers when Bending samples always to put a price on them, as buyers do uot feel inclined to make offers. Wheat. We quote : Best velvet. fid to '2h 61 ; best Tuscan, 2s f>d to '2s 7d ; red chaff, 2s 3d ; fowls wheat, Is 10.1 to 2s. Oats. The market remains firm at quotations. We have sold prime milling at Is 5d and bright short feed, Is 3d to Is.'Ud, inferior Is Id to Is 3d. Barley.—Feed sorts are quoted at Is 9d to 2s; milling, 2s to 2s Ud; malting, 2s 9d to 3s 3d. Ryecorn.— 2s to 2s 6d. Flour:—We quote £6 10s. Oatmeal in 2,Vs, £B. Pearl barley, £l2. Bran, £3. Pollard, £3 10s. Nelson
hops are quoted at 8d to lid f.o.b. Linseed wanted, £lO, with good enquiry. Chaff. —Prime quality, well cut oaten sheaf, £2 5s to £2 7s 6d ; and medium, £2 to £2 23 6d. Ryegraes.-The demand is a little better but growers prefer to store in hopes of prices improving. Buyers' ideas are from Is 3d to Is 9d for ordinary farmers' Hues, and up to 2s for clean lots. Cocksfoot, 3Jd to 3|d for farmers lots, and 4£d to 5d for machined. Pressed straw, £1 ss. Clover hay, £3 ss. Nitrate of soda, £ls. Potatoes—Derweuts, 2/s6d: medium from 22s Gd per ton. Rabbit-skins.— We offered a large catalogue last week; competition was very keen. Suckers and runners, 3d to 6d ; summer, 6d to lOd ; Autumns, lOd to 14d ; winters, 13d to 17d per lb.; selected 18J per lb. Sales every Monday. Sheepskins. —We quote: Dry crossbreds Is 9d to 4s 6d; extra, to 5s ; dry merinos, 2s 3d to 5s pelts, 6d to la 9il. We sell every Tuesday. Hides, 3d to 4|d, according to weight and condition. We have a special enquiry and can guarantee top market prices. Tallow. —Rough fat, 9s to 11a 6d ; rendered 1 Is to 14s. Horsehair, Is 2d to Is 4d. Crown She°p Dip.—The best in the market, price 4s 6d per gallon. Binder Twine.—We have a large stock and can supply same at lowest quotations. We supply rabbit and sheep netting, and give special quotations by the mile. We have oil cake in stock. We undertake country clearing sales. FRDIT AND PRODUCE REPORT. Butter.—Prime salt, 7d ; Dairy-made, Bd. Cheese.—Good Akaroa, to 4d; factory, 4Jd. , Pigs.—3W for good quality ; wanted. Beeswax, Is to Is 6d, according to quality. Please consign all seed to Moritzson and Hopkin's private siding.
