ARROWTOWN JULY 15, 1891. (Before J. N. Wood, Esq, Warden.) Pdice v. Wong Man—Mining without Miners Right, the defendant produced a Miners Right issued in favor of one Ah Man, saying Wong Man and Ah Man, "all the same." Case dismissed without costs. Police v. Ah How, (mate of previous defendant) similar charge. Fined Is and costs 245, or in default 7 days imprisonment. Henry B. Smith v. George Baker.—A friendly suit for restoration of water race lictnse. Fined Is, Court costs Bs. License to be renewed. Morrow, Scurr and party v. E. Banmann.—Asking that defendant's right to a tail race situated in / Cotters old paddock Cardrona, be declared forfeited and complainants to be decreed first applicants. This mm occupitd Me Court until nearly 7 o'clock.
Judgment was given for defendant, with expenses of two witnesses £4 i6s, Court fees, 12s ; and Professional fee £5 ss. Same v. VV. Robson, Samuel Williams and Samuel Kernahan.—Case withdrawn. Same v. A. Torrie, W. Robson and S. Williams —Case withdrawn. G. H. Romans—6o day's protection for water race, Card rona Creek. C ranted. Romans and Sooles-60 clays' protection for extended claim, Cardrona Creek, granted. P. Henderson.—Application for tail race, and dam, West bank, Arrow River. Granted. Cosgrove Brothers.—For water race through Section 15 Block 1, Kawarau, adjourned. Neylon Brothers.—Permission to enter private lands being Sections 9 and 10, Block X, Crown Terrace. A letter was received from the Government, consenting to the application. Mr Turton for lessee, Mr J. W. Baker. Mr H. B. Smith for applicants, who w«re ordered to keep within the boundary of four pegs, now marking out a claim of two acres. The applicants to lodge a deposit of £5 to cover any damage done to the ground. Ward and Torrie—Residence Site, Cardrona, granted. Ah Free.—9o days' protection for extended claim Bracken's Gully. Granted. Neylon Brothers and Jenkins.—6o days protection for extended claim, East bank, Arrow River, granted. Premier Consiladated Gold Company.—Licensed holding for aiea lately held by the Victoria Gold Mining Company. Granted for 21 years. W. J. H. Farrell—Five applications for Licensed holding—adjourned to August sittings. G. Harrow.—Surrender of water race license. Adjourned to August sittings. Hugh Hunter.—9o days protection for extended claim. Granted. Brown and Scurr.—Extended claim, Cotters old paddock, Cardrona, Granted, subject to Torrie and party's rights to the tail race. James Elliot.—Extended claim, and dam, Hood's Gully Macetown, Granted. D. C. Jolly.—Application to exchange license. Ordered to be recommeuded for perpetual lease, as being second-class laud. Lin Hoon.—Surrender of extended claim, New Chum Gully. Cancelled. J. B. Clyde.—Surrender of extended claim, Cardrona, Crncelled.
