ARROWTOWN, JULY 16th, 1861.

Two cases—Thomaa Murray v. Charles Low, and Charles Low v. Thomas Murray—were withdrawn, the parties agreeing to settle them by arbritration. James Whelan v. Francis Mcßride—claim of £BO, for alleged loss through defective work in thrashing wheat. The case which was one of some importance, commenced at 11 a.m. and was not concluded until midnight. For the plaintiff Mr Turton ; for defendants, Messrs Finn and Gilkinson. About ten witnesses on each side gave evidence, and at the conclusion the magistrate reserved his decision until next court day.
