Owens, the Proprietor, will sell as above that highly-desirable and valuable property, the DEEP CHEEK COAL PIT' Comprising 92 aires held tinder Mineral Lease from the Government at the small annual rental of £9 103. The lease has ten years to run and is free from royalty. The out-put lias, for years past, averaged 1,700 tons per annum, aud the price obtained for coal at the pit-uiouth is £1 per ton. The coal has been analysed by Professor Black, whose report states it to be the best in Otago. Being the only pit in the Queens* town, Arrow and Lakes district, the market is a wide one, and the business is practically a monopoly. The working plant is in good order, and includes 18$ tons of new iron rails By a capitalist or a party of four working men £6OO per annum, clear of ail wages and expenses, can easily be made.
