WAKATIP HOSPITAL.

The ordinary Committee meeting of above institution was held in the Board-room, Frankton, on Saturday last. Present:—Messrs M. J. Malaghan (vice president) J. O'Kane, H. M. Adair, H. W. Carstens and T. G. Betts. Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Accounts to the amount of £67 4s were brought up and passed for payment. It was ordered that tenders be called for the usual supplies. Ordered that the Secretary forward list to all members of the Committee for the purpose of obtaining the annual subscription now due. Proposed by Mr Adair, seconded by Mr O'Kane, and carried—That Messrs Malaghan and Ross be appointed specially to collect for Queenstown. Some discussion took place as to what repairs should be made to the building and resident surgeon's quarters, during which a proposition was matle as to procuring iron for roofs, but it was afterwards withdrawn and a resolution passed, on the motion of Messas Betts and O'Kane, that some compepetent person be appointed to examine the building, and report to the Committee before any tenders be called. Resolved that Mr W. Mason be asked to report as to the state of the buildings. The Meeting then adjourned till Saturday next.
