Mr Frank Huff of Invercargill (some time since in partnership here with Mr Tyree as photographer, has tiled a declaration of insolvency. By Cable news from Rome we learn that numerous foreign deputations have arrived there for the purpose of attending the funeral of his Holiness Pope Pius IX. The Ballarat Juvenile Exhibition, which wa, opened on Friday by the Governor, is stated to have been a great succcs. The Southland Timet states that the proposed visit of the Rev. Charles Clark to Invercargill has been indefinitely postponed in consequence of the talented lecturer being obliged to proceed northprobably to Sydney.
