Davis, Aitkeu, Miller, O'Kane, Anderson, Boyes, J. Jvnkjjuu A. Clark, F. H. Daniel, and the rhorer (J. F. Tully), with power to add to their number. Seconded by Mr W. Shore and carried.

For Secretary, Messrs Manders and Tally were nominated. A show of hands was taken when Mr Mander9 was eleeted, Mr J. T. Goodsir was elected as Treasurer, and said that he had a balance ih hand from the last meeting of £1 los Id which was now avail- ! able. . A good deal of discussion ensued as to the dates of holding the Regatta owing to tiie Maori Point raceis being tield on St. Patrick's Day, Finally, I Mr Haines proposed, and Mr Hark Feconded —"That the forthcoming Regatta bo held on 17th and 18th March next." Mr Howarth proposed, and Mr J. M'Brido seconded, as an amendment —"That the Regatta be held as an annual affair on the first Monday in each year after St. Patrick's day." Mr Campbell proposed and Mr Rogers seconded, as a further amendment —" That tlio Regatta bo held on the 17th March." On being put to the meeting, Mr Haines' resolution was declared carried. The Secretary was ordered to at once issue subscription lists, and advertise in the Wakatlp Mail the date of holding the Regatta. It was also resolved that arrangements be made with the Wakatip Mail for tho advertising and _ printing connected with the Regatta. Proposed by Mr Howarth, seconded by Mr Campbell, and carried—" That the Secretary write to Mr C. C. Boyes, and ask for permission > to erect a booth upon the Peninsula ; and that,, j$ is alfco hereby resolveS that'the RVgatta be* Franktron arm of the Lake." The following canvassers were appointed:— For QaeenstoWn—Messrs Malaghau, Walde and Bodkin. For Frankton, Millers Flat and Arrow—Messrs J. T. Troodsir, J.
