One of the Hawkes Bay journals mentions a$ a gratifying fact in connection with immigration to that Province, that amongst the immigrants who arrived by the ship inchester there were several who were possessed ol sums of money ranging from £IOO to £I2OO. Ilollowaijn Ointment and Pills— Rheumatism and liout. —These purifying and soothing remedies demand the earnest attention of all pa sons liable to rheumatism, gout, sciatica, or other painful affections of the muscles, nerves, or joints. The Ointment should be applied after the affected parts have been patiently fomented with warm water, when the Unguent should be diligently rubbed upon the adjacent skin, unless the frictiou should cause pain. Holloway's Fills should be simultaneously taken to reduce inflammation and to purify the blood. This treatment abate* the violence and lessens the frequency of gout, rheumatism, and all spasmodic diseases which spring from hereditary predisposition, or from any accidental weakness of constitution.
