Preceded by escorts of Household CaTzlry and Foot Guards, and the massed bands of the Grenadier, Coldstrcant, Scots an.! Irish. Guards, tho bodies of the murderod officers were borne on nine wrriages from Eustou station to Westminster, through streets thronged with silent, reverent crowds, all the men raising their hats as each coffin passed Sir Hamar Greenwood was the ohief mourner. Mr Lloyd George met the procession at the Abbey, where the Dean of Westminster read the first portion of the burial service. About a hundred Peers and a hundred members of the House of Commons were present. Tho Coldstream Guards' buglers sounded the " Last Post -" ,„• , rr > Archbishop Bourne and Bishop Keating officiated at the Roman Catholio Cathedral, where Mr Bonar Law and Mr Austen Chamberlain represented the Government, tho Irish Guards' buglers sounding the " Last Post." The coffins were afterwards taken to various cemeteries for burial.
