According to a message from Mineola, Long Island, Lieutenant C. C. Mosley, of the United States Army, won the air race for the Pulitzer trophy, completing a triangular course of 152 miles in forty-four minutes twenty-one and a half seconds. Ho attained a speed of 191 miles an hour. He was flying an American Terville plane. Forty-four planes of American, British, French, Italian and German makes competed. A British Sopwith was forced to descend. . AERIAL DERBY IN AUSTRALIA. (Received November 26, 10.25 p.m.) SYDNEY, _ November 26. Great interest is being taken in tho first aerial Derby race at Mascot on Saturday. It will do the most important aviation fixture yet hold in Australia. The course is sixty-eight miles. The v“ Sun ” newspaper has entered Captain Matthews, who failed in a flight from England to Australia. There will be ton other competitors.
