| The annual report of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association, to be presented at the meeting on November 80, shows that the past twelve months have been marked by an extraordinary increase in the expenditure, the chief factors being the advance in the cost of administration, and the larger outlay upon medals. It is stated that great strides have been made by the sport during tho twelve months un- . der review, and it is asserted that it i has almost fully recovered from the efI fccts of tho war, a new era of activity and progress, unprecedented in the J history of Die association, having set ’ in. Reference is made to the New Zealand championship meeting at Auckland, the school cliildren’s centre championships, the appointment of an educational officer to foster swimming among school children, and other important matters.
