PUBLIC NOTICES. LAKE COLERIDGE ELECTRIC SUPPLY, WARNING TO CONSUMERS. pONSUMERS have been warned from time V* *° time that tho plant at Lake Coleridge is seriously overloaded. The overload now occurs to a dangerous extent. The fact that a 7000 K.W. load was recorded in February on a cold wot day, and substantially lower loads have obtained during six weeks of fine weather, points to tho overload arising largely from general, office and domestic demands, permissible and otherwise. No further risks can be taken with the Power House plant, and all consumers are urged to cooperate by doing their utmost to avoid the uso of any unnecessary electrical equipment between 7.15 a.m. and 5.15 p.m. •In order to protect the plant, power will be cut off immediately the load exceeds a safe limit. This will servo as a warning to consumers that load must bo reduced After an interval of fivo minutes, power will bo switched on again. If the load is still dangerously high, power will again be cut off, and its restoration will depend upon the extent to which tho whole of tho consumers co-operate byreducing load when such warnings ar© given. Tho Electric Supply is tho common pro party of all consumers, and must bo protected from injury resulting from overload, and tho assistance of all consumers is tho best protection that can bo obained.
