Acceptances foi the North. Otago Jockey Club’3 winter meeting will close at seven o’clock’to-night.

No trainer was represented by more than one winner at Riccarton on Saturday. The successful performers were turned out by R. Longley (Gaylight), T. H. Gillett (Manawapango), F. D. Jones (Amytlias), E. Scoullar (Royal Star), R. D. O’Donnell (Starland), and A. D. Al’lvor (Silver Peak). The six winners at Riccarton on Saturday were ridden by sis; different jockeys. Roy Reed was on a first and a second, L. Hegarty and A. J. M’Flinn each piloted a first and a third, while W. Scobie, A. Ellis and GYoung each rode a first. J. T. Humphries and H. Gray were each on a second and a third, while five other jockeys got into placesDuring his visit to Australia Mr W. R. Kemball made two purchases, hut only ono horse is coming to the Dominion. The other, a two-year-old, for which he went to over four figures, failed to pass the necessary teat. The horso that is coming across is the four-year-old Tenterfield, by imported Sea Prince from Tenterhook (Clanranald— To-morrow), a successful performer in Sir George Clifford’s colours in the Dominion Tenterfield ran second in the last Australian Cup. Negambo easily beat Kauri King in a round over the hurdlesOld Mungindi was better than Gladful in two rounds over the big fences, though both failed over the second obstacle of the double. Coldstream, Lochella, Gold Sonlt and Pretty Bobby were associated in a round over the hurdles. Goldstream was doing best -at the finish. Lord Nagar shaped well with Omaihu over the hurdles. The jumping of both was good, and the pace was fast. Khartoum has thrown off his lameness and he moved freely. Zola went two rounds on the flat at a strong pace, finishing up fast. Vasil koff ran five furlongs in lmin 6sec. Matatane went six furlongs, as did Missgold. Luke, Wirikino, Sir Donald, All Over, Yankee Jack and Ruddy did useful work.
