THE MILITARY PARADE.
TO THE EDITOR.
' @ir,—Re the military parade before the Prince of Wales to-morrow. To t the astonishment of mvself and comrades w© were informed to-night that the returned soldiers would have a separate pai’ade to-morrow, falling in. at Cranmer Square and marching to Hagley Park, via Chester, Victoria and Armagh Streets, thus depriving many folks from seeing their boys marching with all the rest of those in 1 khaki. Surely it can be arranged otherwise, even if it is a bit late, but even if the hoys were to circle the square it would give the old people ' more of a chance, seeing that nearly all of Armagh Street is taken up by dtt children, and it is to be left to the ” imagination what Hagley Park will be like on this occasion.—l am, etc.,
A RETURNED SAPPER.
1 May 13. I SO THIS HDITOU. Sir, —I should like to draw your attention to tho matter of the parade of the returned soldiers to be , held to-day. 1 believo the returned ' men are parading in Cranmer Square, and are then marching to Hagley Park. 1 know there are numbers of people who are looking forward to seeing the boys inarching, and I think it would be only fair if they were to march, at least, through Cathedral Square. I take it this will be the biggest parade of returned men ever seen here, or ever likely to be seen again. It is ridiculous to say that it is too late to alter the arrangements as it would not take above half an hour extra to march through Cathedral Square, via Cashel Street.—l am, etc., EX-DIGGER.
