In the first place, is tho very high standard of equipment. Ignition, for instance, is catered for by the quick-starting Dixie Aero Magneto, which costs £25 extra to lit, but which is standard equipment for Studebalcers. Then there is the fact that Cord Tyres, costing £llO for tho Special Six and £l2B 10s for the Big Six, are standard equipment. They are specified because they obviate ail danger of bursting, aro free from punctures and are absolutely safe in every way. Being wire-headed and straightsided they cannot crack or tear away at the head. Instead of fabric they are built of a. whip-cord wound casing. The new Studebakers, too, are fit-tod with the now cushion drive, which minimises starting strains aud saves wear and tear on chassis and tyres. The motors have detachable cylinder heads, which any owner can remove, making it easy to clean out carbon deposits. Other features ai-e the electrically welded body which cannot, squeak or rattle, the new and splendidly efficient Studebaker carburetter which gets the last ounce of power out of the motor, tho real leather upholstering, the lowset English-style seats and the new gear uo.\, * easily accessible, and a. great improvement over gear boxes attached to engine or back axle.
