SHIPPING NOTES. The Nokatay, which was due here this week from. Now York, is hold up at Panama owing to engine troubles. . The UpBH left Newcastle for Lyttelton after taking in bunker coal, and is due here on Sunday. On discharging at Lyttelton she will be docked for overhauling.

The Calm is due here on Friday Srom Timaru.

The Storm sailed) for Dunedin and Timaru last evening. Tho vensel is due hack on Friday from Timaru. Tho Breeze, which was expected from Wnuganui on Sunday, has been delayed at Wanganui., and is now due to-mdrxoit, to load for Picton and YVanganui. Tho Karamu arrived from Westport yesterday morning, and is expected to leave today on tho return trip to Westport to load for Napier and Gisborne. The Kiri completed hor discharging of coal and timber last evening, and sailed for Westport, to load for Timaru and Dunedin.

Tho Waitomo is. duo to-morrow morning from Wellington. She is calling at Lyttelton to • oompleto her loading for Auckland.

Tho Kowhai was due to leave Greymouth yesterday for Lyttelton. She should arrive here to-morrow. '' e Tho Oropuki, after completing hor loading of general cargo Tor Greymouth and Hokitika, sailed for Greymouth last evening. The Manuka should leave Wellington this evening for Lyttelton. She leaves Lyttelton for Wellington tO-morrow evening, and Wellington for Sydney on Thursday afternoon. The Karori will bo dispatched to-morrow for Timaru, where she will discharge the remainder of her cargo of timber frofti Greymouth.

The tfle Anevu, which is due Utere 40-i morrow, was to leavo Dunedin, on Saturday evening for Oamaru and Timaru. She will complete her loading liore for Napier and Gisborne.

The Wanaka was dispatched from Auckland on Friday night for Dunedin, Bluff, Oamaru and Timaru. The Armagh, from Napier, is due on Fridav. She has cargo from London and New York.
