BANK OF NEW ZEALAND.

THE DIRECTORATE^ [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, March 8. Two vacancies will shortly occur on tho Bank of New Zealand directorate, the retiring members being Mr D. J. Nathan (Wellington) and Mr W. Reece (Christchurch). Mr Nathan is proceeding to England and is, therefore, not eligible for reappointment. The Government has decided that his place shall be taken by Mi George Elliott (Auckland). Mr Reece will be reappointed. Mr Elliott is one of the best-known business men in New Zealand, and has already done good work as a member of the National Efficiency BAard and on several commissions. He is also a director of tho Now Zealand Insurance Company. Mr Elliott is at present chairman of. the Trade Commission which is visiting the Pacific Islands with the Parliamentary Party.
