FIRE IN DUNEDIN.

BOOT FACTORY BADLY DAMAGED. [Per Press Association.! . DUNEDIN, January IS. A fire which caused extensive damage to stock and machinery was discovered in tho Dunedin Boot Company’s factory at 8.20 this morning. The outbreak bad apparently been caused by a fire left in an open grate the previous evening. The damage to the building, which is owned by Mr T. E. Shiel, is estimated at £2OO, and is covered by an insurance of £350 in the Yorkshire office. The damage to the stock of leather and machinery is estimated at £3OOO, the insurances being £IOOO on the stock and £2OO on tho machinery, in the State office.
