PROGRESS LEAGUE'S NOMINATION ACCEPTED. At the last meeting of the executive of the Canterbury Progress League it was decided to ask the Minister 01 Lands if he w<Hild accept a nomination made by the league for a seat on the Canterbury Land Purcnaso Board which is being set up und«r recent legislation. . ~ , The Minister replied, asking for the nomination, and stating that tho matter would receive his further consideration when the elections wore over. " The name of Mr G. T. Mulcock, who ie a member of the league's executive and chairman of the Halswell County Council, was forwarded to the Minister as the league's nominee for the posiYesterday Mr Mulcook received a telegram from Mr J. I). Ritchie, head of the Lands Purchase Department, offering him a seat on the board. It is Mr Muloock's intention to aocopt tee position*
