In the House of Representatives, Sir Joseph Cook stated that besides the arrangements on land for assistance to competitors in the England to Australia flight the Navy will patrol between Kupang and Port Darwin. MATTHEWS AND THE AIR CONVENTION. United Service. (Received October 26, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 24. The Air Ministry announces that Captain Matthews arrived at Cologne at two o’clock on Wednesday. The Ministry does not know Avhether he will be "allowed to 'proceed, in defiance of the International Convention forbidding flights accost Germany.
