Brigadier-General Young was entertained at a banquet at Martbn on Friday evening by representatives from all parts of Rangitikei prior to his departure to take charge of the Otago military district. BrigadierGeneral Meldrum was present. The proceedings were enthusiastic. Briga-dier-General Young was presented with a beautiful tea service, suitably inscribed.
