WRECK OF TAINUI.

ANOTHER BODY FOUND. Sergeant Scott, of Cheviot, reported yesterday morning that another body from the wrecked Tainui had been recovered. Tlio body is in an advanced state of decomposition. The height is from sft lOin to Oft, and tho build stout. Tho face is unidentifiable, but thero are tattoo marks on the left forearm in tho form of a rising sun over a cross and (lags. The clothing had practically all gone when the body was discovered. Tho police officer further reported that he would endeavoirt to remove tho body to Cheviot by packhorse. Superintendent Dwyer received a telegram from Wellington last night stating that both Mrs Cowan and Mrs Stevens had been interviewed at Wanganui, and had given descriptions of their late husbands. It appears that both Captain Cowan and Mr Stevens had tattoo marks on their left forearms, but the details aro not sufficiently clear to enable the body to be identified. A son of the late Mr Stevens will arrive from Wellington to-day, and will go on to Cheviot to see the body. An inquest will bo opened at Cheviot to-day by Mr V. G. Day* Coroner.
