DARIY ASSOCIATION.

[Pee Press Association.] DUNEDIN, June 4. At the annual meeting of the South Island Dairy Association it was decided to recommend dairy factories to promote the formation of herd-testing associations, also that A. apd P. associations in the South Island should be strongly urged to hold hull fairs in a suitable month each year, and that 50 per cent of the Government stud bulls be distributed for sale at these fairs. Tho following motion was carried:— “That the outlook in the nenr future for shipping freight! on all farm produce is a serious menace to the prosperitv of New Zealand, and it is imperative that all dairy and meat export companies combine for common defence and support a fair rate of freight, and that tbe executive move in this direction at once.”
