CHRISTCHTJRCH, November 15. The local grain market has never been so slack as during the past fortnight. There is a fair demand for tko little chaff that is on offer, while the fact that the season is over for potatoes is responsible for a small supply and poor demand. What business has boon done in potatoes has been at a small advance on previous quotations, several linos* reaching ill. . , The following are the prices paid to farmeta at country station*, free of commission, sacks extra, except whore otherwise stated:— ■ Wheat-Milling wheat, Government price. ■South Island 6a lid f.o.b.
