FIGHTING IN PERSIA. TURKS CAPTURE URMIYAH. LONDON. August Z 3. The only change' in the campaign in Persia and the Caucasus is the defeat of the Jolu by the Turks west of Lake Urmiyah. The Turks have taken the town of Urmniyah, and this caused the wholesale emigration of the Jolu population, who were closely pursued by the Turks, until a British cavalry force dispersed the enemy, enabling the fugitives to escape.
