North of the Ancre the British reached the Arraa-Bapaume road, at several points, taking Boiry-Becquerelle, Boyelles, Ervillers, Behagmes and Bihucourt, and British patrols are said to have entered Mory, three miles due north of Bapaume. Tho Nev/ Zealanders are in the suburbs of Bapaume, and Thiepval and Grandcourt have been taken. Further south Albert and Bray were captured, also Chuignes, Chuignolles and Herleville. The French crossed the Divette at Evricourt, and their patrols crossed the Ailette.
