CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. Tho committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association 'not last cvenins. Mr A. Cant occupied tho chatr, and Messrs C. b. lhompson, W. Simpson and E. E. Luttrell wore also present. Messrs Thompson, Rogers, Redpath, bimpson and Jackson were appointed the committee to roako arrangements in regard to the new ground at the Hospital corner, where it is intended that the Schoolboy League Ramos shall be played. Messrs Cant, Rcdcath, TVard and Barrett were appointed a sub-committee to deal with the financial arrangements for the new Br The Christchurch Railway Cricket Club applied for affiliation with the association for tho ensuing year, the expectation being that both a senior team and a junior team would bo ontered. Mr Cant said that the rules provided that no c.ub could be accepted unless it had a ground suitable for senior cricket. The admission of such clubs as the Railway would mean the end of luo association's district scheme. After representatives of tho Railway Club had stated their case, in which they said that if not admitted they would remain with the City and Suburban Association, it was decided to refer the matter to the annual meeting of the association.
