WAR FUNDS.
TO VOX EDITOK. Sir, —I think lam voicing the sentiments of the N.Z.E'.F. when I say how disgusted I was to read of the narrowminded remarks which a few clergymen delivered in respect to the Copper Trail. If they wish to look for evils of gambling let some of them start nearer home; them is plenty of scope; church bazaars taught me what a raffle was. The Copper Trail will receive whole-hearted support from the public notwithstanding the pulpit's cold water references. One lady I know recently won a ton of coal and immediately presented it to charity. Her's is real Christianity.—l am, etc., 17009 C. W. BROWNE, N.Z.E.F.
