FORECAST FOR CANTERBURY. Moderate to stron?" eouth and south-east winds. Weather vory cold with rain nad aleet. Considerable snowfali in back country districts. F. L. WOOLES. DOMINION FORECAST. Dominion Meteorologist's summary and forecast:— The atmospheric pressure has continued l<w in the north, and strong easterly winds Mid rain have been experienced northwards »f New Plymouth end Napier. Elsewhere oleudy conditions have prevailed generally, with moderate to variable breezes. Present indications are for high south-east winds northwards of Kawhia and East Cape, and modorato and freshening easterlies to north-oasterly winds elswhere. Rain is probable in the northern and east'coast districts of the North Island and cloudy and unsettled weather may bo expeoted at timo generally. Barometer unsteady," with falling tendency in tho south.
