ST PETER’S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.

ROLL OF HONOUR UNVEILED. There' was a crowded congregation at St Peter’s Presbyterian Cliurcii, Ferry Road, last evening, on the occasion of the'unveiling of a roll of honour. The Rev Thomas MacDonald preached a powerful sermon, in which he dwelt touchingly on tho sterling qualities of the soldiers wins had left the church, but whose memories would bo for ever cherished. At the conclusion of the sermon the Mayor of Woolston (Mr MacGregor Wright), after a brief address, unveiled the roll of honour, the congregation standing. The roll is placed at the east end of the church. It is of stained oak, suitably finished, and tho carving is of artistic pattern. The roll contains the names of the following soldiers who have gone from tho congregation:— G. T. Wright, D. Hanna, J. F Turner, R. W. Ellis, J. H. Cleworth (killed in action), A. R. Gunn, W. J.
