HILL-CLIMBING CONTEST. A hill-climbing contest for tho Big Tree challenge cup, points to count also for the Bennington Cup, was hold on the SumnorLyttelton Road on Saturday afternoon. -The test consisted of a fast climb from a point near tho School for tiro Deaf to the top of tho >hiU, then a slow climb from a point below the Zig-Zag to the hill top; tho competitor making the fastest timo in tho first climb and the slowest in the second climb to bo tho winner.
