This is ono of the most important competitions of the festival, for it marks a definite step towards the fuiler encouragement of young vocalists sixteen years and under twenty-one. It is tho first tirno the scholarship has been placed on the society’s annual programme, and the money set aside will be suiticient for a winner to pursue her studies during the ensuing twelve months.
