COUNTY COUNCILS.

OXFORD. The Oxford County Council met on Tuesday; present—Messrs D. Hawke (chairman), Alex. Baxter, R. F. Henderson, E. W. Meyer, J. M’Grath, T. Powell and 11. Smith. Permission was granted Mr H. Luera to remove a house from West Oxford to the Scrub, on wheels, Mr Lucre to make rgood any damage to roads. It was resolved to call tenders for shingling roads, also to plough and grade part of the Warren Hoad. It was resolved to naiae a loan for bridge building, also to strike a general rate of 3d in the £, water ratos the same ns last year, with a special rate on the Osmmian’s Creek water races to pay interest on construction. The credit balance on March 31 was £GS2 Os 7d. Acoounts amounting to JUGS 13a were passed for payment. ■
