THE “STAR” JUBILEE.

A SPECIAL SUPPLEMENT. TO BE ISSUED TO-MORROW.

The jubilee of the “ Star,” marking the fiftieth year in tile history of this paper, will occur to-morrow. The occasion is of some public and journalistic interest, and it is intended by the proprietary to issuo a special illustrated supplement along with the usual issue of the day. , * In the preparation of the supplement an endeavour has been made to avoid dry-as-dust historical details. The articles aro of interest to others than Pressmen. While some deal with the starting and progress of the “Star.” others have a general public interest. A descriptive article gives a bright and humorous story of a day in the lifo of a modern newspaper. A brief but informing review of the progress of Christchurch is given, and should bo read with keen interest by old and new ;esidents of this city. The pictures have a general as well as an office interest, and include some views of old and modern Christchurch. The supplement is printed on fine white paper, suitable for illustrated work. Each subscriber and purchaser of to-morrow’s “Star” will receive gratis a copy of the jubilee supplement.
