MAGISTRATE’S COURT

At the Alagistrato’s Court yesterday, before Air C. Morris, J.P., ancl Mr-J. W. Beanland, J.P., Hugh Charles Graham was charged with,,a breach of the Stamp Act, in failing to stamp a receipt for £7 7s 4d. Defendant said that there was no intention on his part to evjadc the stamp duty. Ho regarded tho sum of money as salary paid. He was fined 20s and costs'. Before Mr H. AV. Bishop, S.M.. Thomas Craven Ashwin, on a charge, of being £ls 5s in arrears on a maintenance order, was remanded to appear on Saturday, and was ordered to report himself each day to the police in the meantime.
