ACCOMMODATION HOUSE BURNED.
[Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, January 30. Early this morning tho premises known as Kolberg’s accommodation house at Pounawea were' totally destroyed by fire, all the contents being consumed. Mr Kolberg died a tew years ago, and Mm Kolberg carried on eineo her husband’s death, but recently her own illness and that of tho principal assistant compelled her to close down the establishment, which was therefore untonanted, so that tue origin of the* outbreak is a mystery. The damage done is estimated at 81200 on pre-war prices, and against this it is said there is an insurance policy for £2OO. A bucket brigade prevented the flames spreading to a detacher! washhouse.
