Mr Arthur Lilly, A.R.C.0., will give a popular organ recital in tho Oxford Terrace Baptist Church on Thursday, December 00, at 8 p.ui., when the following programme will be plaved:—l—Prelude in G ma;or (Bach); 2—(a) “Tho Evening Bell ’ (Chauvet), (b) ‘‘To a Wild Rose; An Old Tresting Place; a Deserted Farm” (Woodland Sketches by MacDowell), (c) “The Rosary” (Nevin); 3 Grand Oifortoire in D major (Batiste); 4 “ The Auvi.l Chorus ” from “II Trovatore (Verdi); s—“ Ave Maria ” (Schubert); 6 " Humoroske ” (Dvorak); 7 —Military Match on the death of a hero (Beethoven); 8— Largo in G (Handel): 9— ‘‘ Pilgrim Chorus, from “ Tannhauser ’’ (Wagner); 11— Patriotic tributes, “ Marseillaise,” " American Battle Hymn,” “ Wo’ro Coming Back Zealandia, M and “ Rule Britannia.” Miss Marjorie Nieol will siug two new songs composed for tho 1918 Festival of New Zealand Music, “ Land of Our Lovo" (a song Of Now Zealand 1 , words by Miss Jessie Mackay), and “ The Shadows Fall Onco More ” (a song for our soldiers, words by Mrs M. Jenkins). Admission is by programme, .one shilling each. The proceeds are in aid of the .Sunday School Building Fund.
