AVON CLUB. The thirty-sixth annual meeting o. tno Avon Rowing Club was held in the boathouse last night, Air R. E. Nightmga.o presiding over a fairly largo attendance. The report staled that the membership now stood at 162. The pleasure portion o the plant was fully equipped, and compared very favourably with any on the river, jhn racing plant was also in first-class order. The opening day was very successful -net year. The three clubs combined hancteu Into the Red Cross Fund £35 10s -d, ihe Avon Club contributing £G 17s 3d. Luring the season there were largo entries for clu > races, and somo very good contests k witnessed. Only one regatta was held during tho season. It took place a.
