OBITUARY.

H.,5,. M'CAUSLANDMr E. S. M'Causland, who died at his residence, 39, Conference Street, on Friday, was for many years a member of the Ancient Order ot Druids, and passed through the various offices of the lodge, being Arch-Druid, in 1006. He held tho office of Master of No. 2 A Purple Star, L.0.L., in 191?, and took a keen interest in tho woric of his lodac. For twenty-seven years he was "head clerk for Messrs Andrews and'Beaven, where his services wero much valued. In that capacity he came in contact with tho machine owners and farmers of Canterbury, and at show time, with those of the Dominion. His long experience gave hun exceptional knowledge of two generations of users of his firm's machines, while nis varied information and genial manner will be much missed. He leaves a widow, two sons (one of whom is serving his country in France) and two daughters. ■
