The second annual meeting of the Greenstreet Red Cross Society was held last week, when Mrs Corbett presided. Orchard, J and G. Cilmour, jun, Mesdames Corbett, Cass and R. Anderson, Misses Shearer, Ritchie and Hunt, and the late Mr A. Gilmour, also the Ashburton Cafe Chautant Committee. It was agreed to hold a gift afternoon lor the Lady Liverpool Society cr. August 1. Mrs Corbett wa, re-elected president, and Miss Shearer treasurer, with Mrs Watson as secretary. A vote of thanks was accorded the School Committee for the ur- of the school. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £37 Cs lid. At the close, afternoon tea was handed round. LEITH FIELD. The Leithfiold Red Cross branch ha., sent the following articles to the central depot:— 11 balaclavas, 13 suits pyjamas, 7 underpants, 1 undershirt, 0 pairs cocks. 6 scarves, 8 day shirts, 1 dressing gown, COO swabs, 10 diet cloths. 16 abdominal swabs, 11 manitail bandages, 2 alump socks, and 24 handkerchiefs,'" 21 pyjama strings and 53 washers from the school children.
